I have a story to tell...

That is a simple truth for all of us. We often don't realize it or even think about it. As I reflect on what God is calling me to do in this life, I know without a doubt that I have a story to tell. The story that God has shaped in me over these 36 years is an incredible one and I look forward to sharing it with more people...
I was reading John 3 this morning and reflecting on some truths about Jesus. Nicodemus called Jesus "Rabbi" or "teacher". As a Pharisee, Nic was a well-educated man and someone who his community looked to for leadership. He came to Jesus and called him "teacher". Nic knew that he had something to learn from Jesus. Later, John the Baptist spoke to his disciples and impressed upon them that Jesus was sent from God above and that He was to receive all glory.
One interesting thing that stood out to me in this chapter was that Jesus was giving insight to Nicodemus about how He was telling others His story. From verse 11: "I tell you the truth, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen..." This underlines a truth about Jesus for me...His ministry was about telling the story...telling His story and telling the stories of His disciples and what they witnessed...As I then think about my own life, I feel called to speak of what I know and testify to what I have seen.
Everyone has a story...wouldn't it be awesome if we were all more willing to give it away and share it with others?
